Shown here are the last Christmas cards our mother, Janet, ever made. They were neatly sorted on her dining room table, ready to be placed in envelopes and mailed to the lucky recipients who were part of her world. Among them was A Beautiful Feeling, a piece that remains deeply special to us.

Many of Janet’s portraits feature women with bows in their hair, a detail that rang true to her own life. She often had a colorful bow or a flower tucked behind her ear or decorating her ponytail. At Christmas, that bow usually had a shiny piece of tinsel attached, making the entire season feel more glittery and magical
