All is quiet and still except for the sound of ripe apples falling from the tree and the buzzing of the bees. The simple pleasures of early fall in Vermont are on display in this sepia toned photo. Evoke memories of simpler times with someone who appreciates New England's crisp fall days.

About the Artwork
The photo above captures our mother's deck in 2020, years after the loss of the beloved apple tree. For decades, it had stood like a sentinel next to the deck and in front of the dining room window. Its presence was a constant source of small joys—from the apples we baked into pies and crisps to the way a quick glance out the window could tell you the wind speed, the snowfall total, or the number of chickadees gathered on its branches. We truly mourned its passing, but in time, the tree's absence revealed a new perspective. It opened up a better view of the smaller apple tree, an offspring of the original tree, which can be seen in the background of this very photo.
