This hardy duck is too excited by the green grass and blooming daffodil to let a few snowflakes bother him. About the Artwork

The image above was taken of our mother's field in Vermont after a few snowflakes fell in spring of 2019. In this part of the world, you can count on the daffodils being squished down by a snow squall. It usually happens on the exact day the daffodils decide to bloom and the day after you have stored your shovel away for the season. Perhaps that is why the duck in this painting looks so nonchalant as the snow begins to fall, it is to be expected.
