This hardy duck is too excited by the green grass and blooming daffodil to let a few snowflakes bother him. He is enjoying his springtime walk through the meadow, and we are fortunate to get a glimpse of his proud posture as he waddles along. The ideal card for someone who enjoys the capricious nature of seasonal transitions.

About the Artwork
A Few Snowflakes, Yellow Duck With Yellow Flower
The image above was taken in our mother’s field in Vermont after a surprise spring snowstorm. In New England, you can almost count on the daffodils being squished by a sudden snow squall. It usually happens on the exact day they decide to bloom—and the day after you’ve finally tucked your shovel away for the season.
Always practical and good-natured, our mother would confidently state that her snow-encased spring garden would pop back up, even as the cheery daffodils lay flattened on the ground. Her optimism always proved right; her garden blossomed with hundreds of daffodils every single spring.
We’ve shared this greeting card because it captures her belief that a few snowflakes can’t keep you down.
